Hi Chemi.
I tried some years ago an IBM solution, and it wasn't bad, but I had to train it before reading some Quijote's passages.

I'm not a big fan of Windows Vista, but as long as my wife has Vista in her computer and I recently read that it has speech-reco out-of-the-box, I decided to give it a try.

I was quite surprised, because Vista speech-reco did work quite well. I could dictate in spanish a one page letter we had from my daughter's school with Wordpad with almost no mistakes without training.
I even was able to correct those errors with some voice commands like "undo", "spell", etc...

I also tried to control Windows with my voice, but some applications didn't behave correctly. I was able to maximize, close apps, etc... but not everything could be controlled by voice.

Anyway, it was a really curious experience.
If you have Vista and haven't used voice-reco, give it a try. It is under Programs | Accesories | Accessibility.

Cheers,
Tom
