Google Maps for mobile with Location

Another brilliant example of Google phenomenal applications. And another example of how Internet players can build mobile applications bypassing the Mobile Operators. Not long ago, Location was one of the unique capabilities mobile operators could leverage to provide Location-based Services. Now Google demonstrates how easily the operator is bypassed even for location services.

See the video, explaining the service and how it works.

I use Google Maps and Gmail in my 3G phone, and both are superb applications. Ten out of ten in usability. With the new feature of My Location, Google Maps is now even more useful than it already was before.

Bravo for Google!
